Yang Lab

Originally from Texas, I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at The University of Texas at El Paso. At my home university, I am part of the Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) Program, which enables me to work as an undergraduate researcher. As part of RISE, I work in the lab of Dr. Jianjun Sun focusing on the function of Mycobacterium leprae’s CFP10/ESAT6 heterodimer. I am part of Dr. Priscilla Yang’s lab for the 2016 summer as part of SHURP, in which I will be testing small molecule inhibitors against the Dengue virus sE protein. Outside of the lab, I love singing, dancing, and outdoor activities.
